HUMAN ASSISTANCE. Our learning curve is steep and we are becoming better at assisting in the process. The knowledge gained in elephant reproduction in the last 15 years is greater than in the previous 150 years. We are continuously working to improve elephant welfare. To this end, DR & Isla Miller started the Endangered Ark Foundation in 1993 to help preserve the endangered Asian elephant species.
